Mørkild is ongoing and still under constructions

project that I have started together with Håøya naturverksted and Manufactura ceramics

on a biodynamic goat farm called Mørk gård, which

is located just outside of Sætre in Hurum.

We have built a smokeless woodfired kiln that we

aim to be an open source for other ceramic

studios to follow and build their own versions of. I

was also given the old kiln that used to belong to

the famous Norwegian ceramic artist Lisbeth

Dæling. This will be transformed into a gas kiln. I

am also working on a permanent setup for a

designated Raku kiln.

Apart from the kiln park, I hope that Mørkild in the

future will an inspiration and an asset for ceramic

artists in Norway, but also for Artist in residencies

that want to work with old techniques in a more

sustainable and environmental way.
